Day 59 (Second Shift): Main Hallway, 1-Center

Yuuhi woke later than usual, tossing the sheets aside in a groggy sort of way as the soldier that he supposed would be his escort arrived to pick him up.  The man was pleasant enough, made light conversation as they left the smaller dormitory hallways and headed toward the Sun Room.  Another failure of a night; he couldn't seem to push the thought away as he smiled and nodded in all the right places.

His pace must've slowed a few steps though, enough to make the soldier turn curiously to see why he hadn't been followed.  A brief conversation and a glance at his beret was enough for the man to offer he take a walk down the halls if he preferred.  That was... new.  The halls, nevermind the any rooms outside of the meticulous schedule, were always off limits.

It was somewhat unnerving.  And while there were other soldiers within sight, none of them appeared to be bothered by the fact that he was operating outside the set schedule.  Curious.  Very curious.  Though what it had to do with his hat and the pins, he wasn't entirely sure.  During the day, the monsters wouldn't be out, but that didn't mean there weren't plenty of other dangers.  Still, any opportunity was better than none, especially if it got him any closer to answers about Marc, the doctor, or more importantly, his brother and the princess.

[Free to any with pin completion for hall wandering?  Otherwise he'll just wander himself around! /o/]

His morning routine of cheering someone up had almost caused Brook to forget what he was supposed to be doing. Last night had ended abruptly and without him reaching the Infirmary at all. He already knew that Sai's room had been empty, but the Infirmary remained a mystery. As, unfortunately, did another area.

But first things first. Brook made sure to leave a similar message to the previous day's one on the bulletin for Sai before searching out a guard. It wouldn't hurt to ask if there was a way for him to visit any patients in the Infirmary. Or if he could just find someone who would tell him that Sai was there, that would have worked. He didn't expect either course of action to go well, however when he got the response of "You can head that way if you want" from a soldier? Brook knew he'd be asking a lot more questions in the future. To be allowed to roam the hallways was something he had never thought possible, but all he'd had to do was just ask!

Really, the soldiers here could be nice after all.

At first he thought that the hallways would end up being rather lonesome, but he spotted another mulling about as well. A blond man who must have also asked for a break in the usual schedule. "Did you ask to go for a stroll as well?" Brook greeted suddenly, unable to just pass the man for the look he wore, "I never thought they'd allow us to do such a thing! It's refreshing, isn't it?"

Brook was thankful that the man spoke; he knew here that he could not always expect those he approached to be welcoming of company. He kept his smile as he would have even if the blond hadn't spoken and introduced himself properly, "You may call me Brook. It is a pleasure to meet you, Fai-san."

Introductions out of the way, Brook looked up and gave a nod down the eastern hallway. "I as well was heading to check out some things. My friend has been absent for the last day, so I was hoping to find him in not too terrible a condition at the Infirmary. My attempts at reaching it last night were...," stopped by a ghost, "... interrupted. If you were heading the same way, perhaps you wouldn't mind some company? It's terrible having to do anything alone, you know."
