Night 57: Medical Wing Hall

[from here]

He glanced idly at the doorways as they passed them, and yet still none read infirmary. "It's only a waste of time," he replied. "If you can't find them. Which would be a bit pathetic in a small building like this."

There was another hallway to the left and Albedo ducked into it, coming up short. Draping his hands behind his head, he walked back to the other, tilting his head. "Especially since I saw Sora about twenty minutes ago. Hopeful with hair at unrealistic angles?" Which would make sense. Sora was sky and didn't Riku speak as shore?

It was annoying, that. It spoke of a beach, and that reminded him too much of a girl.

Now it was starting to feel like a hospital--a small, self-contained hospital.

She hated hospitals.

The clinical feel of the long corridor was broken up by the corpses of small spectres littered across the floor, and more, very much alive and insistent, attacking others not far away. There were enough people coming and going that Yomi didn't worry about becoming a target right away, and she resumed her survey, moving close enough to the doors to read what they said and check for locks.

Lockers, exam rooms, bathrooms, and doctor's offices. All unlocked. The door to the library and the backdoor to the record room were also unlocked. Further up, where the hallway began to narrow, was the operation area as far as she could tell. Her experience with the profession allowed her to guess what the "O.R." and "Induction Rooms" would be like. Still fairly standard... if one discounted that Landel's Institute was blending areas of expertise together as if one could create a whole little universe in a single building.

The farther into the medical wing she moved, the more locked doors she encountered. Every door up to the infirmary had a lock on it, but it was the infirmary that was supposed to hold the military's "concoctions." Yomi detoured to her left to ascertain what might be down the last two halls, ultimately circling back to the open infirmary door. There was a lot of commotion going on in this place, and the source of it, at least in part, was coming from this room.
