Nightshift 23: 2nd floor staff-only outdoor patio lounging/eating area

[ from here]

With VII following closely, Xemnas reached the door at the end of the hall. His hand reached for the doorhandle and turned it, mildly surprised the door happened to be unlocked. While he slowly pushed it open, he felt the cold breeze from outside.

He proceeded further outside, scanning his surroundings troroughly for treats lurking in the shadows. It appeared they were in some kind of patio which, judging by the furniture, was most-likely used for lounging. It seemed highly unlikely to find something useful in here. However, there were two doors. And who knew what these doors could be leading to?

Blows continued to rain upon the Superior, Saïx seeming quite determined not to give up or relent for even a moment. As time passed, and the struggle continued, however, it was natural that he would become slower, more sluggish. Even back in their normal time, his rage had not lasted continuously for long periods of time. Thankfully, for the Superior's sake, the time span seemed even shorter here; it would likely be a while before he caught his second wind, so to speak.

As his strength depleted, Saïx became sloppier and less resistant, eventually being thrown back, just a bit, giving Xemnas a chance to gather himself and counter the attack or leave while VII remained on one knee, clearly conflicted as his inner struggle to control himself became more apparent.

"Go..." he whispered in a a voice that sounded like a hoarse growl. Any further attempt at communication on his part was stiffled as his entire body shook. He would rather leave himself a lone and vulnerable to prey than continue to assault the only person he had ever deemed worthy of his complete loyalty.

If he could've felt regret, surely it would've been coming in spades by this point.
