Night 72: M-B Block Hallway
[From here.]
It didn't look like anyone was out in this hall yet, unless they'd already passed through and gone on. Even so, Lloyd kept an ear out for any sounds of anyone else in the hall. It might be another patient, but it might also be something else. He really had no idea if any of the halls were safe at all from the threat of a monster attack. So far, he hadn't run into a monster in the same place twice, or even the same monster twice, but of the ones he'd run into, only one was dead. The others could easily still be out there, along with who knew what else.
Not to mention the doctors. A chill still ran across Lloyd's skill at the thought of being taken again. Swallowing, he shined his flashlight in a sweep across the hall, even though he'd already scanned it two times. Nothing. No one.
He took a steadying breath and moved on.

Once he stepped out of his room, Zero didn't walk far before he stopped against a wall, alert and searching for a particular face. The hall seemed empty at the moment, but maybe he was just early. Either way, he didn't expect Sechs would take too long in showing up.
...And yet, he still couldn't help feeling a little impatient anyway, as he immediately thought of the leader he was supposed to find next.

Sechs took little time to emerge from the darkened hallway and out into the open where Zero stood waiting, announcing his approach wordlessly except for the heavy footfalls of his combat boots. Seeing that Zero had kept one part of the bargain so far, Sechs felt slightly relieved; he may have lost his trust and respect for Zero, but at least he wouldn't have to risk spending precious night time fighting with him.
Switching his battered flashlight on, Sechs approached the shorter droid until there was a short foot between them. The Replica's frown was unwavering as stone, his eyes but a distant and unfriendly glow. Sechs then held his hand out, gloved palm facing up to the ceiling as he flexed his fingers for the blade.
"Give me the sword."

That was why there was no reluctant hesitation at all when Sechs demanded the sword from him. Zero simply held it out, expression unchanging. "Good luck," he said, even, and genuinely meant it. He expressed his good wishes, but somehow, he doubted that Sechs and Aigis wouldn't make it through tonight, even without a third ally.

With no sign of gratitude, Sechs just about left without a word, but only paused to briefly look over his shoulder at Zero. "...Yeah, you too," he muttered.
With the key now in his possession, Sechs disappeared into the next hallway, intent on not letting anyone else slow down his mission.

His first task of the night accomplished, he waited only long enough for Sechs to disappear into the next hallway before he similarly went on his way. Now it was time to find Ciel...
