Night 70: West Wing, North Hall 1-A
[From here.]
... Though it was a nice feeling, really. Walking through here with a flashlight again.
It had only taken a single night for Zero to detest how dependent he was on a simple light source. As a Reploid, darkness wasn't that big of a deal; his systems were good at adapting to his surroundings, including the absence or presence of light. But with this terrible human vision, he couldn't hope to navigate this place even half as decently without a bright flashlight to guide him. Then again, it was only one of the many, many complaints he had about being in a human body...
How did Ciel, Neige, and those other humans do it, honestly? Living like this was so...
...inconvenient.

After talking to Guy, the next hall felt entirely too silent and empty. Lloyd swept the flashlight's beam up and down the hall, tense, heart beating a little harder than it should. No one there. No monsters, no doctors, no nurses. No patients to ask to join him. Nothing.
Only his own echoing footsteps that he tried to soften as he turned to head into the next hall on the right.

Despite the fact that Lloyd had left right before Claude himself had shown up, there wasn't any sign of him out in the hall now. That was too bad, since Guy imagined that Claude would have felt better if he could have spoken to Lloyd himself.
Considering that he, Claude, and Anise might not be making it to the institute tonight, it did make it feel like there wasn't the sort of closure there should have been, but there wasn't much they could do about that now.
As they moved down the hall toward Luke's block of rooms, Guy glanced back at Claude. "I bought some supplies for us when I was in town today. You know, just in case."

"Hopefully he finds what he's looking for," Claude remarked. That was really all he could say until he could talk to his roommate himself, though, so Claude was somewhat relieved to be on the move.
When Guy mentioned the supplies, Claude glanced over at him with raised eyebrows. "Wow, really?" he said as he managed to muster a grin. "Sweet! Thank you for doing all of that." Since Claude himself had wasted the day away, it was good to know his friend was picking up the slack.
Of course, there was still something else Claude wanted to address, he realized as they moved further down the hall.

This time, Ed kept more of an eye out for creatures although he's still not terribly worried about running into anything.

Loki followed the familiar path out of the block of rooms and into the hall. He'd wasted time with his useless thoughts, it seemed. He could hear others in the hall.
Well, that meant he didn't have to try quite so hard to be silent, since their sounds would cover him.
He continued on.

It was impossible to match the mishmash of footsteps that Sasuke had grown accustomed to hearing with the scattered variety of patients still in the hallways, but it was tempting to try: the certainty of fewer numbers was all he had, really. Almost all of the voices and paces Sasuke had been familiar with had vanished, and those who returned were different.
He had not expected to feel the absence of the Konoha-nin, but it was undeniable that extra eyes had been useful. Even Sai -- perhaps especially Sai, with his coolly practical efficiency.
Then again: so much for that practicality when he threw himself in the way of a blade. Funny how the effect of Team 7 seemed to lend itself that way.

This hall was gloomily quiet. They must have missed all the other patients passing by. Even though it had been a few nights ago now, Gabe still shivered when he remembered fighting the monster with the shadow-vines, not in this hall but the next. He'd been alone then.
The shadow-vines made him remember Skulduggery, that night with Riley. The necromancy. That made him think of the conversation the morning after, when Skulduggery was open and yet darkly humoured about his own magic.
All of a sudden Skulduggery's presence behind him wasn't quite as comforting as Gabe could have wished it was. He managed not to let on, aside from the slight bunching of shoulder muscles, and ignored the urge to look behind him as he made for the door.

"Still hallucinating?" the detective asked. It was, after all, the most likely cause.
