Night 68: Main Hallway, 1-West
[From here]
And there he was. Link stood near the wall, idly tapping the toe of his boot against the ground as he waited for Soma and the others she had recruited. He doubted they would take long. Soma seemed like a competent young woman. Hopefully that meant that she would have found strong allies to take with them.
He stood with his flashlight, along with the katana she had allowed him to borrow. Link was in his tunic from home, as he always was at night.

While Guy had expected a crowded hallway, this area was more or less abandoned at the moment. He knew they hadn't lost that many people lately, but maybe it was due to the fact that he'd lost time by waiting a few minutes for Claude and then checking on him.
Still, Anise and Luke should have definitely been waiting by now, right? What, had they all decided to ditch him on the same night? He wished that he could assume it was that, but in reality that was probably the best case scenario. And the least likely.
Was he going to have to check their rooms too? That would be a pain, but Guy was willing to do it if his friends didn't show up in the next minute or two. He needed to make sure they were all okay before he did anything else with his night.

When she reached the main hallway, Anise immediately spotted Guy and made her way over, waving cheerfully. "Hey! Hope I didn't make you wait."
She thought she'd find the others with him, but wait... it was just Guy? Anise looked around, but didn't see any sign of them. It wouldn't be weird if Luke was late (though she had to admit he had been totally on the ball lately), but didn't Guy and Claude usually meet up closer to their rooms? Anise hoped this didn't mean something bad happened. "You didn't come with Claude today?" she asked.

Unsurprisingly, it didn't take Anise long to notice that there was something missing in this picture, and even though Guy knew Claude wasn't there, he looked over his shoulder as if searching for him.
"No. He didn't show up at our usual meeting place, so I went to look for him in his room and he was fast asleep," he said as he returned his attention to Anise. "I couldn't wake him up, so I decided to let him rest. Are you feeling okay?" Anise clearly hadn't passed out the way Claude had, so maybe it wasn't illness-related after all.

"I'm fine! - er, though slept in really late today... but I'm fine right now!" Anise assured Guy, though she had to correct herself midway. Still, wasn't the fact that she was fine now all that really mattered?
While Anise normally had a fair amount of patience, knowing that Claude was sleeping through the night made her wonder about their other companion. After a pause, she asked Guy, "Do you think we should check on Luke, too? Just in case?"

As for Luke, there was really no reason for him to be sleeping now, but that didn't mean he wasn't. Especially considering this was Luke they were talking about. Then again, he hadn't been a lazy person for some time now, so it was a bit unfair of Guy to think that.
"Maybe we should, yeah. If he's not here by now, then..." Hopefully nothing had happened. Guy hadn't been worrying as much over Luke since he hadn't been sick, but the truth was that anything could happen.
They'd make this fast. Guy nodded to Anise and then headed back down the hall the way he'd come.
