Night 68: Main Hallway, 1-West

And there he was. Link stood near the wall, idly tapping the toe of his boot against the ground as he waited for Soma and the others she had recruited. He doubted they would take long. Soma seemed like a competent young woman. Hopefully that meant that she would have found strong allies to take with them.

He stood with his flashlight, along with the katana she had allowed him to borrow. Link was in his tunic from home, as he always was at night.

Loki paused near the wall in the larger hallway, head cocked to listen. He didn't see Soma yet, or the Once-ler. There was one other person, but he wasn't entirely certain who that was. He could be this "Link" or not, he supposed. But rather than walk up immediately, he paused to observe.

Link's sharp ears picked up the faint steps of somebody else in the hallway. He turned cautiously to face the taller man he had seen around the institute.

"Would you happen to be waiting for Soma?" He shone his light on the ground between them, eyes sharp and attentive.

Loki tilted his head. "Yes, I am." And since he knew who was supposed to be there, and knew all but one of them... "I take it that your name is Link?"

Link nodded.

"And you?"

The sound of voices, both of them familiar, reached Soma's ears as she rounded the corner. So Loki and Lingormr were already here.

She offered a small nod as she came to a stop beside them, tugging a little self-consciously at her uniform. "I hope I didn't keep the two of you waiting too long."

Soma and Link were already at the meeting point, as was Lingormr. So the other man would be traveling them as well, it seemed. The Once-ler covered the remaining distance and joined the group, quietly hoping he wasn't late.

"Soma, Lingormr, and... Link, correct?" He nodded to each in turn. "Anybody else coming, or are we all here now?"

"Lingormr," Loki said, giving Link a little bow. And then the rest of the party had arrived. He offered the Once-ler a polite nod and gave Soma a smile. "I had only just arrived."

"You know our route, I trust?" he asked Soma.

Link recognized the exceptionally tall fellow from his first night here- it was good to see that he was doing alright, at least.

"I believe that this is all of us," he said in response to the Once-ler, looking to Soma to be certain. The Hylian wasn't used to traveling in a group, however he could see its merits in a place like this.

Soma nodded, glancing at each member of the group in turn. She wasn't used to traveling in one this large, either, but there was something to be said for safety in numbers.

"This is everyone," she said, nodding. "Thank you all for coming. I don't want to waste any time, so let's get moving."

With that, she smiled slightly and turned to head down the hall.
