Night 67: Nurse Lounge (second floor)

[from here]

And the door opened into a place Mikado had never seen. The burst of nausea that continued--was he getting sick? What was going on with that?--was almost overcome by the surroundings. There probably wasn't much to look at for most; a couch, a mini-fridge, some casual decorations and shows of use. But that was why Mikado stared. This was the first sight of some kind of casual normality that he had seen in two weeks.

What was normal had become abnormal already. He felt his eyes blinking.

"I don't..." the boy stopped, then started again. "I'm not sure where this is."

"Really." Well, if the doors opened onto areas 'tied' to the person, then Ryuugamine seemed like a bland kind of person, judging by this lounge-like area, Ryusei thought snidely.

Putting that aside. He'd figured it out. The dizziness only manifested itself when he stepped through a door. And the place they'd come from only had one door, and this wasn't where they were before. Some kind of teleportation, then? As if a Gate Switch had been attached to every door, except that in- and egress from Rabbit Hatch didn't cause any disorientation. It must be some other kind of teleportation. Virgo and Libra both had forms of it, but it probably wasn't them; Ryusei couldn't imagine anyone going through all that trouble to what amounted to a minor nuisance. If they wanted to keep Ryusei from the front door, they could just lock it. And anyway, he had no evidence that they—or any of the mantled leaders—was involved. It was far too complicated a plan. And they'd already lost one Ri—

He needed to get out. "There's nothing here. Let's go." He turned back to the door (which he definitely had not closed—it must have done that by itself) and stepped through it.
