Night 67: West Wing, North Hall 2-B
[From here]
As Link pushed open the doors into the northern end of the hallway, his heart began to race. A nervous energy came over him. This was it. All or nothing. Either Sora was here and he was alive, or all hope was lost.
The hallways seemed so much longer in the dark. Every shadow felt like a threat. And with the rush of adrenaline leaving Link's heart pounding in his ears, he was almost imagining seeing things. He kept reminding himself to keep his cool, but goddesses help him, it was so difficult.

But then, if he really believed that, then why was he so agitated...? Maybe he hadn't accepted it as much as he thought.
He placed a hand on the door handle, but froze suddenly, not opening it quite yet. A desire to turn away and spare himself from this tugged at him, and he very nearly gave into it, but he forced down his resignations and turned the knob anyway. Like the one before, it was locked.
... This was stupid. If the answer was already set, then the only thing he needed to do was face it head-on. Hesitation didn't become him. He probably shouldn't have, but he was annoyed with himself enough that he broke the lock himself in spite of his injuries. A surge of resolution rushed through him, overriding the pain of his cuts and bruises, and he shoved the door open with a little more force than was strictly necessary. It was time to just get this over with.
