Night 65: Cafeteria
[From here]
Though they were able to make it through the Sun room without being attacked, there were no such promises for the rooms up ahead. Seishin quietly followed Silvestri-san through the door leading into the cafeteria.
Unlike the moonlight shining through the Sun room's ceiling, the lounge's eerie silence stretched on into this room. The cafeteria seemed even larger than it was during the day, and despite the tables and chairs there was a sense of emptiness, an emptiness that was as ominous as the silence that made even the smallest sound seem like a tremendous amount of noise. If anything awaited them in the darkness of the vast room, perhaps under the tables where the small beam of Seishin's flashlight did not reach, it would have certainly noticed them by now.

Five will turn.
The Head Doctor's words whispered at her from the corners of her mind. So, there were other things to worry about this night besides the typical fare of foes. Still, they would press on. Looking back and letting the institute psyche them out was not an option.

They continued to pass through the silent cafeteria. Nothing leaped out at them, so it was before long they reached the door that would lead into the kitchen.

Facilier stepped into the cafeteria while his dark doppelganger grasped onto the shadow of the door to keep it from loudly slamming shut behind. The less attention he drew to himself, the better.
Before moving on to the kitchen, Facilier paused to adjust his hat and shift his grip upon his cane and pillow case. Meanwhile, the living Shadow floated down the floor ahead, slipping through the multiple chairs and tables as it scouted for any dangers. Facilier followed close behind, smirking at his Shadow's playful canter through the cafeteria; it even pushed a few chairs by their shadows, forcing them to shift and creek beneath the tables as though moved by ghosts.
No threats were detected as Facilier approached the end of the cafeteria. He opened the door to the kitchen and gestured to his Shadow to enter first. It swooped in with a soft chuckle and Facilier followed suit.

Returning to the cafeteria in one piece, Facilier took a moment to adjust his grip on his pillow case which weighed down even more on his thin shoulder. Scowling, Facilier turned to gesture for his Shadow to help him, but found that it was fooling around with the chairs and tables again. He hissed at the entity, catching its attention before thumbing at his bag. Nodding to its master, the Shadow's long figure curled down the floor and crawled up upon the wall where it grasped onto the shadow of Facilier's bag, pushing it up slightly and relieving some of the weight off his back.
Smirking to himself, Facilier strolled down the rest of the cafeteria with less effort on his part and exited to the Sun Room.

The cafeteria was silent, like most of the hallways they'd crossed. It was a little eerie, and Hakkai wasn't sure if he should be glad or worried. But nothing had tried to attack them yet, and for that much, he was grateful.

"Doesn't look like anyone's around," he commented, voice pitched in a low whisper. No need to attract something if it was lurking about, waiting to grab them.

He rounded the counter and headed for the kitchen door. It didn't look messed with, but when he turned the knob, the door opened.
"Well, that was easy."
Hopefully not too easy.
