Night 65: F21-F30 Hallway

Aigis clenched at the rash growing steadily up her arm. The stomach cramps had kept her from eating, and now this news. She couldn't have stomached food had it been announced before dinner. What could she do now? Follow the new clue Harrington had left for them? It was a start...

But first, she needed to keep her promise. Assuming she didn't change before she got to the planned meeting spot.

Giving her plush cat one last squeeze for strength, Aigis fought off shivers and prepared for the night. With her necessary equipment assembled, the android took off out the door and headed to the main hall.

Rita had to wonder if she was actually going crazy, or if her encounter the previous night had left her so shaken she was seeing things. There were several long, dark strands of hair on her pillow, nothing like her own hair or Aigis'. Could they be leftovers from last night's struggles?

But she kept finding them. During her shower earlier, several strands - a clump, even - appeared, apparently having been entangled within her own hair. How did she not notice before...? How were there so many!?

A long, quiet dinner gave her some time to calm down. She still hadn't spoken much with her roommate, but perhaps that was for the best. It would be easier for them if one of them were to disappear.

In happier news, Rita's arm was feeling much better. Though her nurse recommended that she continue using the sling for a while, Rita knew it would only get in the way. The mage removed the sling, flexed her elbow and shoulder a bit to test, and decided it was good enough. This time, she could wear her backpack properly, allowing her to carry more equipment with her.

Soon after the doors unlocked, Rita left to meet with her companion for the night.
