As Scar made his way into the hall where he had met with Lust the previous night, he was starting to be very thankful that he had not touched his dinner. The Ishbalan was very nauseated and his dully throbbing head was not helping in the least. He stopped for a moment, resting a hand against the wall to rest. Lack of sleep probably did not help- He felt as though he had spent all of last night awake. He was tired and sick and in an all-around bad mood. He should keep moving, but a minute's break couldn't hurt.
The silence was golden without Johnny blabbing his ears off.
Lust couldn't help herself as she moved out of the darkness and into the Ishbalan man's view. She hadn't actually expected Scar to be there, standing in the same spot and all by himself. Most likely he was waiting for someone else, if anyone at all, but the flirting tease dropped easily from her lips nonetheless.
"Then just stopping to smell the flowers, are we?" Lust tossed her head and shrugged, coming closer. There was just something about him. She couldn't explain it, even if she attempted to. Maybe it was animal magnetism.
"Or are you waiting for someone? I won't keep from you an appointment."
And if he was finding companions, good. Maybe one of them would rub off on him and soften that stony demeanor of his. She certainly wasn't going to be doing that.
"I am not waiting for anyone," was his grumbled response. He had just needed to escape his room. Scar briefly considered just ignoring her until she went away, then remembered that that never worked with Lust.
Glancing down at her hand, he noticed it was gloved. Were there bandages underneath?
"What happened with your hand? Did it get worse?" He needed to figure out what was going on with... whatever sorts of monsters there were that roamed these halls. What was the extent of their power?
"Good. Then come along, there's no sense in standing here all night." Lust had no idea what they would do, but they'd figure out something. "We can look for one of those closets, one that has supplies. Maybe we can find you a weapon."
She began to turn, but Scar's question made her hesitate. She glanced down at her hand and shrugged. "It's better," she said, mildly. "Still a mark but the pain's mostly gone. Here let me check the map."
She'd brought it along and unfolded it now as she turned towards the main hallways.
"I know, I know." Scar started down the hall in her direction. They might as well get something done. Though her abilities were limited, Lust was good protection.
He nodded when she mentioned her hand. At least the healing process was relatively quick. Scar was the type to have horrible luck with injuries. The Ishbalan looked at the map over the homunculus' shoulder, but it made no sense to him.
"I really haven't explored much of the first floor," Lust admitted, heading down the hallway at a brisk pace, boot heels clicking lightly on the dirtied tile floors. "There's a great deal here, and we're bound to find some supplies stashed about. Medical supplies would be good to have on hand - I don't heal like I used to and if you got injured..."
If Scar was injured there was little she could do. She knew field medicine, but without supplies all her knowledge was useless.
She kept her conversation (for the moment) to the night's activities. There was no point in bringing up what had happened earlier, and if he wasn't going to mention it than neither was she.
"There are doctors here and they have offices...not far, either."
There were only two others in the hallway when she went through, but she paid them only a little notice by way of a glance before continuing on. Plans or not, she wasn't going to go around bothering others, especially not strangers.
Ramona liked the scenario in her head. The hellos, the blowing off, the walking away. There wasn't anything new to add to what was going on between them. In fact, it was a good thing she didn't like to externalize her internal thoughts about him, because she figured she sounded like a dumb school girl with a crush. This was the opposite problem. This was the anti-crush.
No, okay, even she had to admit it wasn't that. But it was definitely unwanted, so it wasn't going to be acknowledged or leveled with. Ramona was the best at being completely disinterested, wasn't she? She figured that was why her exes got so mad. Scott would just have to get used to it until it was true.
It didn't matter if it was never going to be. It didn't matter if Scott would always be unlike the others. Situations had changed and she was surviving or something. It called for it.
By the time she reached the next hallway, it was completely empty, not even the light from another's flashlight visible in the distance. Not exactly a new sight in this place, but not exactly a welcome one either. Eerie, that's what it was, putting her in mind of sudden monster attacks, of ambushes by whatever enemy they were tracking down.
But that was neither here nor there. Without Zephyr and Vashyron, Leanne wasn't exactly tracking down an enemy, was she?
As he raced down the hallway, just barely keeping himself from flat-out running, all Niikura could think about was what would happen if Shiina turned out to be one of those few that Landel had been talking about. Would he have to kill her? No, he could never do that. He'd never be able to, not without risking his sanity. He couldn't...
So how was he going to get out of this mess? Azuma was the medical genius, the one who figured everything out, but he hadn't really come into his own until after they'd unified for the first time. So there was no relying on his usual method: the experience of his fellows.
Rainbow had started at a jog in the F-A Block, and was sprinting full-on by the time she reached the middle of the next hall. She ran partly for the need to find the third floor fast, and partly for her own satisfaction. She was going nowhere near as fast as she could in pony form, but dang if this wasn't the fastest she had moved since arriving in the Institute. So Rainbow pushed herself harder, imagining the track at Cloudsdale ahead of her. A grin spread across her face despite the danger of her situation; speed did that for her.
She ran, ran and ran, ran while thinking of only two things: speed and headbutting Discord/Landel's nose into his tailfeathers. She turned the corner and kept running, expecting to run up the first stairs she found—!
Everyone had someplace else to be - something else to do. Why let inmates, convicted supposed psychological threats to society, roam so freely with a plan, possibly to escape?
She kept looking around, hoping to find something else - some other piece to fit into the puzzle that might provide some more insight to the whole situation.
Here was where the crying had to stop. Shiina couldn't let Shou see her in such a weakened state. And at night, no one could afford to be caught off-guard.
Taking a short stop against a wall, Shiina rubbed the backs of her hands across her eyes a few times to take care of the residual tears. If someone looked hard enough, they might see the red rimming her irises, but little would remain of her tears by the time she found Shou. Or at least, that's what she hoped...
She had always been powerless, though, hadn't she? Ilia couldn't help but think that was the case as she trudged down the corridor towards the main hallway. Even in the fight with the ogres down in the basement, she had fared far worse than her companions, both of which were at least a decade younger than herself. And she called herself a soldier.
No, negative thinking like that will not help! She shook her head, took a deep breath and plunged on. But she couldn't put it completely out of her head. She had failed. She had failed them all, not matter what Anise or Claude said.
There were a lot of prisoners milling around in the main hallway as usual, but Aidou hadn’t wanted to draw their attention and had zigzagged around each group on his way to the female block. Now that he was nearing his destination, the people were thinning out, making it easy for him to move unhindered.
But was Aigis still in the girl’s area, or had she already left? For once, he hoped she was still around.
After having thought about it, if there was one person he might benefit from warning about other vampires around, it was her. And if things went well, maybe she could be another set of eyes and ears now that all of the others concerned about vampires were gone… Well, it was a little early to be placing hopes in an unknown variable, but at this point it wouldn't hurt to try.

[For Lust! And... Loki...]

His next reaction was the turn around to cast a blank frown at her.
"No."
The Ishbalan had known that he shouldn't have stopped in this hallway. (If anything, he should have sprinted through it.)

Though one of them did look a little familiar...

There were a few people in the hallway here, but not a worryingly large amount. Soma kept walking.

Maybe she would just blow him off.
