If the creature were capable of smirking it would've at the contact. But before it could make another attempt at its target's flesh there was a sharp pain in the middle of its chest. The attack forced blood to heave out of the leftover's mouth while it shrieked out, its cry echoing down the hallway. Already its heart was beginning to beat erratically, the sudden stab sending the organ into a state of shock.

Almost out of blind panic the creature began to wildly flail its arms, wanting nothing more than to bring pain to its attacker before it finally collapsed.
