Indeed the creature hunted by sound, ears painfully acute to the surrounding noises that echoed through this once silent corridor. Seeing as that it barely missed its target, the monster attempted to swing its arms at Snake, but instead was met with air once more. It stumbled somewhat at the slack before quickly recovering, twitching madly and throwing its head around in an attempt to hone in on the patient's movements.

However, this proved to be more difficult as it was forced to listen harder, as far as the near-silent breaths of its victim.

A moment's more of waiting and the leftover lunged again, this time not directly at Snake, but a foot to the side of him.
