Their reactions were almost comically opposite. Brainiac 5 seemed to relax at the sight of him while the brunette tensed up, immediately defencive. Muraki couldn't blame him, really. It must be hard to be protective when he was in such a state. (Maybe he would be more appealing when those angry scratches on his face healed up.)
"I am. It's good to meet you, Peter." Muraki offered his left hand in difference to the boy's injury, apparently nonplussed by his attitude. Brainiac's scolding spoke of some clear familiarity. They were friends, at least, and friends were the best weapons when used against eachother.
"As for the announcements, your guess is as good as mine." He replied. "I haven't noticed any changes except for the lights, but it may be wise to take the discussion inside."
