Asuka Langley Soryu. Okita had heard her name bandied about on the board before Homura disappeared and had twice received her replies once he had and Okita had taken over. It wasn't a surprise this morning when she popped up again, but it was certainly welcome. With three of their key members suddenly missing, Okita was in a very tenuous position. And after last night's encounter and incident, he was even more keenly aware of it. The burning sensation had lessened, but his fingers were wrapped tightly in bandages to hide the ugly blueish marks the ghost's touch had left behind.
This morning was no better than any of the others, and in fact may have been worse for the lingering fever and taste of metallic blood on his tongue. But he couldn't allow that to show with so much at stake. So today, like all days, he checked the bulletin for messages, took a glass of water, some fruit and tater tots, refused the meat option, and then seated himself where he had told Asuka he would be.
And as she had said, she was very hard to miss: brilliant blue eyes, red hair, and a child of no more than Tetsu's age. He managed to keep his surprise in check if only due to the fatigue of the previous night. Instead, he smiled, noting how she flipped her hair over her shoulder as if trying to show off something, and motioned to the seat across from him. "It's a pleasure to meet you, too, Soryu-san. Please, sit. It will be a much more pleasant meeting over breakfast, don't you think?"
