Leela noticed the uncomfortable-looking girl, and waved at her. Maybe she was feeling out of sorts in a new body? Even if she wasn't, Leela often felt protective toward the younger women here. It was one thing for them to kidnap Leela. It was still wrong, but she could handle it. Taking kids away from their homes and families just wasn't nice.

"Some therapeutic clay work happening here," she said, mostly for the girl's nurse's benefit, and gave the girl herself a wink. It was kind of fun to be able to do that without having to specify that she wasn't blinking normally. Leela still preferred her real looks, but there were distinct benefits to having two working eyes.
