Why was she suddenly trying to push him away? Peter blinked and pulled back when she reached out for his face, desperately trying to figure out the meaning behind the girl's actions. He really didn't know her well enough to be able to read her very well, but the fact that she wasn't accepting his help seemed really backward.

Maybe she was just that intent on being independent. But what was so bad about accepting help?
