It took everything in her power not to keep fighting her. Why was she the one who needed to be mature here? Elle was older than her, wasn't she? Huffing, she just looked away, shaking her head and averting her gaze. It was better if she didn't look at her while she was trying to find a way to tolerate her, at this point. She sucked in a deep breath through gritted teeth and then turned her narrow glare on Elle again.
"Not everyone here is going to be as nice as I'm being," Sylar's face was as present in her mind now as it had been during King Kong and she was certain for a moment that she saw him in the shadows past Elle's head. But, as soon as her gaze flickered over, it was gone, and she reaffixed her stare on Elle. "And it's not even the people you should be most worried about. There are a lot of things that come out at night that aren't here during the day. A lot of dangerous things."
Another pause, this time accompanied by her dragging the back of her flashlight hand over her forehead to wipe an anxious sweat away -- one that she didn't notice had started, but was probably caused by all her paranoia.
"Out on the rec field, there's a shed with all kinds of sports equipment. They should have baseball bats kept there."
