Kiba had long ago concluded that Sai was just one of those people who could creep the living hell out of you by just sitting down, smiling, and saying hello. He even put Shino to shame, and that was saying something. Kiba still didn't trust Sai, of course--not fully, anyway. He trusted him just as much as he would any other random member of Leaf that he didn't know, like, or have any particular reason to trust beyond what was required of a strictly working relationship. Yet, there was still something about Sai that seemed off to Kiba, and he couldn't help but be wary of him, even here, even if Sai was still probably more trustworthy than most of the people in this place, if only because he was at least from Konoha, and had Konoha's interests in mind.

Not that that was a particularly comforting thought. He'd take still a hundred Shinos over Sai. 'Looks like your dog's even smarter than you' his ass. What did he know? Nothing, that's what.

Kiba grimaced at the memory, twitching as he turned his head around to face the ninja in question. He didn't particularly like to admit it, and certainly wouldn't if he could help it, but Sai had been right about Sakura. Completely.

"'How am I acclimating?'" He nearly laughed. Out of all the things to ask. "How do you think I'm acclimating? This place is already getting on my nerves, and it's hardly been a day."
