Phoenix flushed a bit in embarrassment, and he smiled slightly, scratching his head awkwardly. Am I really that transparent? "No, I'm not...but...wait...an Earthian? I know I'm from Earth, but..." he trailed off, as he listened to the rest of what Obi-Wan had to say. After a few moments of quiet listening, Phoenix understood a bit more. He'd been a kid when he had watched Star Wars -- but he could remember the kind of universe they came from. And following the same kind of logic as he had from the beginning -- it made sense, in a quasi-freakish way, if Phoenix was to assume that anything made sense in this place.

His expression brightened a bit at Obi-Wan's description of the Jedi. "The Jedi sound a lot like defense attorneys from my world." Although, not all of the defense attorneys Phoenix knew were interested in promoting good -- but he knew he himself was, and he liked the idea of being a 'peacekeeper'. In the name of justice, of course.

Phoenix had never recalled ever being in touch with any sort of energy around him, though. Every time he'd tried to grow plants, they had always died on him -- even cacti gave up the ghost after a while. It was a sad realization that he wasn't in touch with the Force. "We don't have any powers, though."

It really was too bad. Phoenix wouldn't have minded being a Jedi. The look on his face was slightly amused at the thought -- that was the kind of thing he'd dreamed of being when he was little! And now...he was sitting next to someone who was, in his world, a fictional character...and he was actually musing about realistically becoming a Jedi.

God, maybe I really am crazy.
