Was it just his imagination or was the thunder louder out here? Ritsuka supposed that was possible seeing how he would be closer to the main halls and those were connected to the outside where it was storming, but really? Really? Ritsuka's tail twitched in irritation, ears still flat against his head as he moved through the hallway, shaking his flashlight to get the light to stay alive. He should have switched the batteries out, but he also needed those for his camera and that always took precedence.
Ritsuka hesitated for a bit in this hall, hoping that perhaps Soubi would appear and render his note useless, but the longer he waited by the wall, the less likely it seemed anyone was coming. So far, everyone was moving out of the hall from the patient rooms and not the other way around. Fidgeting with the flashlight, Ritsuka pounded it against his palm a few times, watching as the light flickered in and out. He should have known it wouldn't last forever, but it was still annoying that it decided tonight of all nights to go out.
When it looked like he couldn't wait anymore, Ritsuka hesitantly pushed away from the wall and started toward the main hallway. Maybe he'd still be able to catch Soubi out there.
