As good as he'd been doing, that was enough to set Guy off, even if it was only noticeable through a slight tightening of his shoulders. He tried to breathe the tension out of him as he glanced over at the God-General, but it was clear from the look in his eyes that he was sick and tired of Sync's attitude.
"Why is it that you keep bothering him, anyway?" Guy kept his tone as even as he could, so that Sync wouldn't be able to pick up on the fact that this was personal, that this was pushing too far. He didn't care what the Tempest did to him (so long as it didn't involve a pair of hands around his throat), but when it came to his friends...
Worse than that, Claude wasn't even involved in the long history that had set himself and Sync up as rivals. He wasn't from Auldrant, and he had nothing to do with the fights that had been waged there. Guy really couldn't wrap his head around why Sync had fixated on the other blond so intently, but what he was glad about was that Claude could hopefully take care of himself.
That didn't mean he was going to let it happen, though -- not if he had anything to say about it.
