Now it was just obvious that Sync was trying to say whatever would get a rise out of him. Guy knew better than to fall for that, even if the God-General had long gotten past his last nerve. The important thing was not to show it. Sync was just searching for a reaction, but Guy had gotten good at hiding his true feelings during the years he'd spent at the Fabre mansion, working under the man who'd murdered his family. A bit of pestering he could handle.

Strangely enough, he couldn't exactly answer Sync's question honestly. He hadn't spent the previous night with Claude, and he wasn't entirely sure what his friend had even decided to do with himself. Guy was sure that he'd run into the younger man soon enough (he always did), but for now...

"Same old," he said with a shrug, starting to walk again. He still didn't know what the painted happy faces were all about, but it gave him a bad feeling. "He's been doing just fine, as far as I can tell." Which was... somewhat true. But Guy was mainly aiming to show Sync that his actions weren't going to get to them, no matter how hard he tried.
