Ed sighed, dropping his arm to the side and effectively giving up. "I'm fine," he said, voice slightly strained. "And Adel is breathing just fine." Right into Ed's ear, in fact, which he wasn't exactly happy about. "He's just asleep." Why now? Why here in this ridiculous position?

Another yelp, which Ed would deny had ever happened, escaped him when Adel's arm wrapped around Ed's body, pulling him closer and tightening to make escape even less possible. He growled and tugged at the offending appendage, trying to get Adel to release him, but to no avail.
