After suffering injury after injury, the pain was starting to become overwhelming. He could stand, if given enough time, but didn't want to. The desire to run from the problem (again) was intense, but he had a brother to stop. This was a task that had been given to him, and him alone. By his own declaration, he was the only one allowed to take Albedo out, and everything within him clamored for it, craved it and drove him on to keep trying.
