The arm in question was still partially wrapped in a bandage and he lifted it up so she could have a better view. "It's... healing all right. Looks worse at night for some reason," some reason that involved him becoming hungry for human flesh, "but I think it's getting better even then. It looked worse than it actually was. It's mostly superficial." Matt wasn't even sure if those were all lies or not.

"But yeah." He pulled the limb away. "I think the staff here gets their kicks by separating people at the worst times." Leaning in closer, he brushed up against her shoulder with his own. "We'll just have to make up for that somehow."
