There's a brief lag before Kvothe raises his head and blinks owlishly at the other boy. "Yeah," he answers after another moment, rather transparently lying. He's usually better at that but he's not exactly in top form at the moment. "I'm fine." He looked at Tim a moment longer, wondering why he was there, before it clicked. "Oh, you're the guy.
