Never let it be said that gods obtained nothing from their faithful.

Looking at Amaterasu's face as Waka kept speaking was like seeing the sun peek through- and eventually drive away- a heavy fog. Uncertain at first, tentative... but with each familiar phrase and reference to herself, that happiness grew until it seemed like the sun above was dimmed compared to the shining brightness of her eyes and her smile.

Waka barely got the chance to finish his musings before he was tackled by a very happy goddess, both of them tumbling to the floor- as Waka had been perched on the arm- Ammy pinning him down and nuzzling him, regardless of what the people around them had to be thinking. It took very little imagination to see the wagging tail that should have been there.

"Waka!" It was the first word she'd physically spoken in centuries, yet it sounded as natural as though she'd said it all her life. "It really is you! You half-baked prophet, I thought I'd never see you again!"

Yes, Issun had been speaking in the role of the goddess's herald when he'd maligned Waka's... 'unique' take on prophecy.
