The institute was eerie tonight, and Fox wondered if he was seeing things. He thought he'd seen a hallway that he knew wasn't there, and he hadn't felt or seen the hallway in the sense provided by his implants. It had just made him move along even more quickly. He knew the corridors and hallways of the patient rooms fairly well, and Fox recalled that Otacon had been in this hallway the last time he had been in here.
After having just been thinking about him, Fox was very surprised to see Otacon in the hallway here. "Otacon," Fox called softly, lowering his sword slightly. The hallway wasn't quiet, it sounded like there were people doing something in their rooms, and he thought he'd heard noise coming from M10. "What are you doing tonight?" Otacon looked worried, although it was hard to tell. The flashlight was providing light, but it was aimed in his general direction and that made it much more difficult to determine expression. Otacon's body language was fairly easy to interpret, though.
