Wasn't looking for a fight? Sure could have fooled him. What the hell was that 'room of death' crap about if that was the case? Well, whatever. Kanji relaxed a bit with the knife back in the closet, though it made him wonder what the hell else he had stashed in there. Not that he really cared, but he was kind of sharing the room with the guy. He could have a bomb in there for all he knew. Not that he thought he did, but you know.
"You think I give a shit what the nurses thinka me?" he said in an absolute disinterest. He put his elbow on the desk and rested his chin in his palm, bored. "They all think we're nuts anyway. Nothin' we say or do's gonna make anything better, so it's not like we have to watch ourselves." Kanji only followed along cause he couldn't stand the freaking constant nagging. If it would shut them up and get them off his back for one blasted moment, then fine.
There was no acknowledgment of the half-assed apology, which pretty much meant to just forget about it. As long as he didn't try pulling a knife on him again, he didn't care. Guy could pretty much do whatever the hell he wanted. It wasn't like Kanji was expecting them to form some kind of lifelong, bosom-buddy bond here. They were being forced to share a room. Long as Haseo stayed out of his business, he'd do the same and that was all there was to it.
...Speaking of things being in the way. There was a pause for a few moments and Kanji just kind of glanced at Haseo warily. "Hey, uh. So. I was wondering... You aren't planning on your girlfriend busting in here again tonight, are you?"
Cause if he was, Kanji wasn't planning to stick around. Last time had been kind of embarrassing. And that was the kind of stuff that would be a bit nice to know in advance.
