Intimidation was hardly a delicate art with Haseo- trying to be subtle would have been a near-impossible endeavor when he just happened to be an Adept Rogue with three offensive-type weapon classes- two of which involved weapons that tended to be longer than he was tall, and all of them involved a chainsaw feature of some sort half the time.
Needless to say it didn't occur to him until Kanji threatened him that his actions might be a little strange. It was easy to forget he was a little... odd-looking, even if the knife in hand was nothing compared to what he usually wielded in this body. He wasn't thinking straight. Obviously.
Haseo froze and straightened, and for a brief moment there was a look of blank surprise on his face before it was covered up in favor of a more steady look and the placement of a hand to hip.
"You can try if you want," he said evenly, "Though I'm not sure what the nurses would think of that." Then, as if realizing what he himself was doing (and how it might look if they were being monitored and they actually... cared), he switched the blade to his injured hand and returned it to the closet with a gesture that was just short of throwing it. His eyes remained directed at the closet, though he watched Kanji all the same the best he could in that position.
On the other side of the zombie invasion, their previous awkward interaction seemed like it had been several months before... he knew nothing about the guy at all. However to him the guys' retort felt like an empty threat, even if he was really tall and seemed pretty fit. What the hell ever. Haseo had two knives.
After an internally tense few seconds, Haseo responded appropriately. "I really don't think you should be looking for a fight with me though. I'm not. Sorry." His tone was much duller than it likely should have been. His heart wasn't really in it at the moment.
