Even in his fogged state Sync could make out light steps, eyes opening only when he heard the door shut. While he wanted nothing more than to just fall back asleep, he knew he couldn't risk having a late start for tonight. There was too much he needed to do, and so remaining awake was crucial until the sedatives wore off on their own.
Maybe this was why he eyed his roommate up and down, holding back a chuckle as he pressed his pillow closer into the side of his face. His words were quieter and somewhat muddled, but he did his best to try and speak clearly anyway.
"I guess your day didn't turn out so well either...?"
