Brainiac 5 blinked, and there was a look of confusion on his face now that indicated he had no idea what on Earth Peter was talking about. "A 'humble acrobat'," he began, "what does that have to do with--"
Ah. The night before. Not only had it mostly slipped his mind considering everything that had happened to him today, but even if he had been thinking of then, he'd have been wondering more about Dorian and Christian than Peter's display of skill. And his unusual blue friend. He waved a hand dismissively at the other boy.
"Actually, I was referring to something more important than the possibly metahuman abilities you were keeping from me," he said, though Peter still got a pointed look about that as well. "Though I haven't forgotten last night and I do still have questions about that as well."
"No," Brainiac 5 continued. "Instead I was referring to something far more pressing and immediate." With some difficulty, he was able to shift his wheelchair away from the desk in order to face Peter fully, which made things much easier. "What were you thinking, antagonising Grell like that? If your goal was to try and help the situation, then I'm afraid it didn't work."
"In fact," he added quietly, lowering his eyes and staring downcast at his hands, "I believe it might be the opposite."
