Galvin’s testimony had been useful to him. From it (as well as the sources on the bulletin board) Lunge had been able to determine that there were scientific forces at worth here that he did not yet fully understand. For now, at least, the logical paradox that came with the existence of monsters had been resolved and he could move on to wrapping his head around the Institute and its inner workings- no mean feat, considering that he had neither a crime scene to inspect nor a witness to interview, let alone evidence or even a definite victim.

But first: meeting this ‘Ryuuzaki’. The name was Japanese and male, that much he knew, but other than that the man was a complete mystery. Ordinarily, Lunge would have ignored it; the beginning of an investigation was always the most difficult part, Institute notwithstanding, and he still had a lot of research to do. But the note had… interested him. There had been a curious level of urgency attached to the wording, not to mention the use of code. Apparently, they felt they had a reason to hide. And no one hid from Inspector Lunge.

Now that he thought about it, concealing himself wasn’t something that had particularly worried Lunge. The information network here seemed more than a little loose; tug enough threads and finding a name and description would have been child’s play. He didn’t have a reason to actively try and withhold his identity. Yet.

He settled himself down in a chair near the door, rapping his fingers lightly on the arm. ‘Ryuuzaki’ had his description. So long as he showed, the reason for their appointment would soon become apparent.
