Raine half-shouted, squinting through the fog and wishing she had a flashlight; the mage-light Valyn had taught her still took far, far too much concentration to use in a situation like this. More than that, she would not risk wearing herself out even more unless she absolutely had to.
She just hoped they could get into the inn quickly, that it would prove to be safer than the streets, and that Sheena was nearby. Which is undoubtedly asking far too much.
