Familiar silver hair and a face Rangiku knew almost as well as her own. She balled up her emotions, stuffing them down inside herself as far as they would go. Now wasn't the time. She needed a cool head to deal with him, even if she wasn't entirely sure what she would do yet.
She didn't ask for permission, instead just sitting next to him, shoulder to shoulder. The closeness still sent a thrill through her, even though he'd betrayed Soul Society... betrayed her. That childish thought ran through her head; he left me again. Seemed like she was always watching his retrating form.
