Dayshift 22; First Shift; Sun Room
As always, Tamaki woke up in his bed. He didn't know how he got there, but he woke up still in the clutches of fear he last remembered from the night. The fight in the hallway, Ed and Adel, the thing...
He was out of bed immediately, determined to make sure his friends were alright. He listened to the man on the intercom, not liking the idea of some big surprise. He didn't imagine any surprises could be good. And he hoped his friends felt the same way...
When his nurse came to get him, he chose the Sun Room instead of the chapel. He wanted no part of whatever was going to happen. He only hoped that Ed and Adel had the same idea....
They probably didn't. Agitated and worried, Tamaki paced along the window, hands behind his back, and waited.

Especially with Luxord being a little gypsy whore over there."Eh, learned long ago that cats aren't big on the whole 'true nature' thing. And you? You shouldn't be trying to string me along." Just a little bit of a chiding tone there; he wasn't going to take that kind of bait. Seimei struck him as the person to not let others in like that. And with that gleam in those feline eyes? Yeah, he had more than a bit of an idea that he was dealing with a manipulator.
Such a shame, really. Xigbar was getting so sick of them.
"I like to play rough, but I don't think you'd be giving me love-nibbles. And I've got enough people chomping at the bit to bite my my head off that it's kind of lost its novelty." With that the Nobody stretched out on the couch, gazing down at the kitty as Xigbar rested his the back of his head on his hands, and those on the arm rest of the couch.

The Nobody lightly resumed his petting, one hand focusing on the soft hair and ears- it was fascinating, watching the latter flick when he touched them- and the other going from the small of the back to the tip of the tail. Even while relaxing, Seimei was still active. Just like a cat.
"All right, I'll take what you offer, and you take mine. I scratch your back, and all that." Followed by a light scritching along the other's flexible spine, just for emphasis. Followed by a chuckle, as he looked down at the resting teenager. "That's something I'd like to know, though. Do you really like being petted that much? It's like I'm casually molesting you, but you're digging it. Makes me feel like a creepy old man."

"It is a small thing, but one I prize very much." His brother was once an outlet for those tiny desires, those pinpricks of need; but Ritsuka was gone, or at least beyond his reach, and there was nothing to be done about it.
"I appreciate your willingness, I hope you can see that, at least."

...he should have seen the response to all of that coming from a mile away.
Namely, Xigbar abruptly grinning from ear to pointed ear. His words were in a pleased tone, yet low as though confiding a great secret. "Well, here's what I like. And when you're a big enough kitty to pin me, I'll really let ya feel it~!"
With that, Xigbar abruptly dumped the kitten on the floor, lightly leaping to his feet and merrily dancing off. Petting time was over, and whether Seimei showed it or not, the Nobody knew that he'd just frustrated someone. That knowledge made him almost giddy, if he could feel anything; that, and he didn't much care for the idea of a little kitty trying to make him dance to whatever strings were set out. Once the cat became a sleek predator, then Xigbar would take notice. Until then, he was far more interested in something closer to his own nature.
