Shock, pain, and blood loss were more than enough to leave Schuldig disoriented; suddenly being dropped and falling, hard(certainly his legs hadn't been prepared to support him, and he wasn't sure they could have even if he'd had warning - his entire front already seemed to be soaked with blood, all the way through his trenchcoat), was absolutely no help at all. He lay where he fell for several long moments, stunned and trying to process his situation.

He was vaguely aware of the presence of Yohji and Artemis; their thoughts were loud, panicked, and he'd been hearing them somewhere in the back of his mind for some time. (But the monster had, not surprisingly, taken precedence.) He couldn't calculate their chances against it, his thoughts too fuzzy for much clear thinking at all...but he didn't feel much comfort in their arrival, so maybe he'd already known.

Crawford. Schuldig had come for him - was the only one that would. Whatever Yohji and Artemis intended to do about the monster, he couldn't help them with it. But he was going to find Crawford, because Crawford always came for him.

...well, except for once. But that just meant Schuldig would have a better record than he did after this. And what was the point of getting horribly injured if he didn't have something to brag about?

Paying no attention to the sparks showering down on him - and too out of it to put together the fact that, as the one almost directly beneath the monster and the shower it was creating, he had an excellent chance of being the first thing to catch on fire - Schuldig began, shakily, to try to push himself to his feet. It would have helped if he weren't keeping a death grip on the pipe still in his hand, but he wasn't losing his weapon. Save for a now-empty gun, it was his only weapon.
