Night 41: M01-10 Hallway
[in M7]
Hanatarou had managed to choke down about half of his dinner before finally giving up and pushing the tray away. With a glance back at Sora to make sure his roommate wasn't looking, he'd opened the closet door to get his uniform and started to change; he thought that if he was going to act like a healer he could at least look like one. Right?
He was just settling his pack in place when the intercom went off, and he gave a startled glance back toward the speaker. The announcement was creepy and disturbing as usual, but considering that he was already a bundle of nerves as it was...well, there wasn't really a visible impact on him. There were supposed to be two people - two strangers - coming by to be healed, and he hoped that he'd be able to help them.
The healer paused for a moment, staring blankly at the imitation Hisagomaru in the corner of the closet before finally deciding to leave it there for the time being. He'd have to see how he felt after trying to heal two people before deciding what he was going to do next.

M01
"So that mark on your hand..." Kurt said, still looking at the wall. "Does that give you powers or something?
Re: M01
Since Kurt had his face turned away and the other two men seemed to be occupied with their own conversation, Frey wasted no more time in calling on the Dawn Rune's power. He closed his own eyes, not because of the light, but in order to concentrate better. The room lit up with the light of the morning sun, for just a moment, and Frey let the power flow from him into Kurt. So much damage... he could tell already that he'd not be able to heal it all, not without passing out from the strain. When the dizziness started to set in, Frey cut off the flow of energy and let the Dawn Rune fade back into dormancy.
Re: M01
The patches of burned skin felt warm, like he had when he'd been out in the courtyard for the first time. It was a welcome sensation, and while it did make the burns tingle a little, Kurt could tell that it was a sign that the damaged skin was healing.
When the light ceased, Kurt was a little disappointed by the loss of the bright light and warm feeling. But he couldn't expect Frey to keep that up all night! The mutant moved his left hand a little, finding that he could move it much more than previously.
"Wow, that was amazing!" Kurt said, turning back to Frey. "I know people with powers but-- hey, are you okay?" Frey looked a little strange, like he was dizzy or something.

Re: M01
He looked up at Kon and Robin, who seemed to be busy writing something down. If they were busy, Kurt didn't want to trouble them. "I can help you, if you need me to..."

Re: M01
He was worried about Frey, to be sure, but when Kon and Robin left the room unexpectedly, the mutant couldn't help but divide his attention for a moment. Where were they going? Kon said he would stay... was something wrong?
"You can have a seat if you want," Kurt said, gesturing to Kon's bed.

Re: M01
"Thank you again, I really appreciate the help," Kurt said. "If you need anything, just let me know and I'll try to help, ja?"
Re: M01
Feeling rather better--as good as he was likely to get tonight, in any case--Frey rose from his seat on the bed and smiled at Kurt one more time (in what he hoped was a reassuring manner) before turning to leave.

Re: M01
And then he was alone. For a few moments, he just waited and listened, wondering if Kon was going to come back soon or if Kon's friend was going to arrive. The seconds passed, and then minutes without sign of Kon, Robin, or the other person. Whatever they were talking about, it must've been serious.
Come to think of it, Robin had written something in a journal and left it on the desk. It must have been a note to him about their location! Grinning at his own resourceful thinking, Kurt clambered out of bed.
And promptly fell on his face.
He winced as he picked himself up, realizing that he hadn't used his legs all day, so they were a little weak still. Taking a firm hold of the dresser, Kurt pulled himself to his feet then assessed the damage.
"Aw man..." the mutant muttered, looking at his hand. His IV had come out in the fall, and the tube was dripping fluids all over the floor. Well, couldn't be helped. He wasn't a nurse or anything. Wincing, Kurt pulled the needle end out of his hand and left it on the dresser--taking special care to cover it with an overturned water glass.
Using the furniture to help him, Kurt made his way over to the desk, finding it much easier as he progressed. When he made it to the notebook, he found he could at least stand in place without teetering over.
He blinked at the note. M81? Ugh, that was so far away according to his map! He'd never even been in the vicinity, so he couldn't teleport there. Not that he would teleport anywhere by himself--not with how tired it left him.
He had a choice here. He could either make his way over to Kon, wait for Impulse to arrive and the two of them could walk over, or he could wait for all three to come to him.
Decisions, decisions.
"If I get into trouble, I can just teleport back," Kurt told himself as he pulled the sheet off his bed.
