"It's okay, I'm sure they'll be back soon," Kurt said, raising a hand to wave at Frey as he left. "Be careful!"
And then he was alone. For a few moments, he just waited and listened, wondering if Kon was going to come back soon or if Kon's friend was going to arrive. The seconds passed, and then minutes without sign of Kon, Robin, or the other person. Whatever they were talking about, it must've been serious.
Come to think of it, Robin had written something in a journal and left it on the desk. It must have been a note to him about their location! Grinning at his own resourceful thinking, Kurt clambered out of bed.
And promptly fell on his face.
He winced as he picked himself up, realizing that he hadn't used his legs all day, so they were a little weak still. Taking a firm hold of the dresser, Kurt pulled himself to his feet then assessed the damage.
"Aw man..." the mutant muttered, looking at his hand. His IV had come out in the fall, and the tube was dripping fluids all over the floor. Well, couldn't be helped. He wasn't a nurse or anything. Wincing, Kurt pulled the needle end out of his hand and left it on the dresser--taking special care to cover it with an overturned water glass.
Using the furniture to help him, Kurt made his way over to the desk, finding it much easier as he progressed. When he made it to the notebook, he found he could at least stand in place without teetering over.
He blinked at the note. M81? Ugh, that was so far away according to his map! He'd never even been in the vicinity, so he couldn't teleport there. Not that he would teleport anywhere by himself--not with how tired it left him.
He had a choice here. He could either make his way over to Kon, wait for Impulse to arrive and the two of them could walk over, or he could wait for all three to come to him.
Decisions, decisions.
"If I get into trouble, I can just teleport back," Kurt told himself as he pulled the sheet off his bed.
