Artemis listened to Badou, glad that he finally got him to talk. He hadn't been certain if the session was still bothering him, or if it was something completely different. He didn't know anything about Badou's partner's spine (and frankly, considering the damage that was still being done to his, Artemis figured he didn't want to know), but he felt the most likely situation was that upon entry, information had been taken concerning their true lives--in order to test their sanity to the utmost limit.

"Anything's possible," Artemis said truthfully, his tone surprisingly sympathetic. "The first time I met with my new doctor, he used... something to wipe my memory of the session. That wasn't just information used to toy with me--that was something else altogether. The same might be true of your doctor... considering the state of your wrist."
