The dog struggled as fiercely as it could, jaws snapping in a vain attempt to take hold of the arm holding it, paws digging at the grass as it tried to fight against being pulled closer.

It simply wasn't strong enough, though, to avoid its inevitable fate. There was a sharp crack as its neck twisted, its spine severing instantly and leaving its rotting corpse to sag into true death.
