"Yeah..." Matsuda didn't say exactly why he suspected they'd vanished. That was something he'd have to handle on his own, and confusing enough for someone sort of involved. Besides, it seemed like Demyx had some problems of his own. In an attempt to distract himself from his own problems, Matsuda decided he could at least try to help the other guy out.

"Yeah, I have," he replied, giving his friend a sympathetic smile. He'd had a couple of really hard choices to make since he'd started with the whole Kira case, although more in a life-altering sense than a losing friends sense. "I just ended up following my instincts." He shrugged and frowned. "But losing friends over a decision is kinda different. Would they listen if you explained why you don't really want to make the decision?"
