Anise leaned forward on the table, listening intently. "So there are monsters like that here, too? I can't believe it..." Everything she'd ever run into were creepy-looking mindless creatures that didn't seem interested in anything but eating or smashing people. The one Guy described actually sounded kind of smart.

There was only a slight change in her expression in response to his gesture. It was a little worrying, but considering everything they did was a life-risking venture, it was actually kind of relieving to hear of any situation where a fight could be avoided with words.

All of that was just the little details, though. There was one thing Guy mentioned that really had her interest.

"And the prize?" Anise asked excitedly, quite literally on the edge of her seat. "You got it, right? What was it?"
