Well, it seemed like Okita certainly had it out for Homura's pride. Strange how they could balance such casual talk with the much more serious matter, but Homura had no particular desire for it to stop. After all, that playful nature of Okita's was one of the things that had made the man interesting in the first place. And he didn't even mind dragging innocent bystanders into it; Homura wondered just what Peter thought of his inclusion, but didn't ask. "Well then, my friend. Any time you'd care to try, by all means, please do." After all, Homura liked a challenge as well.
Peter noted Sylar's absence, and while Homura made note of the faces around them, he also nodded towards the door. "Then if you wouldn't mind, keep an eye on the entrance for us. It's important that we know what this man looks like, especially since, as you said, he'll use deception to get what he wants." Even though Peter wouldn't be staying with them for the whole time, Homura still wanted to catch a glimpse of this Sylar, and to see just what he would be up against. "Even after our conversation ends, I hope you wouldn't mind signaling us if he is brought in."
The female voice shouting over the crowd also drew Homura's attention for a moment, though the man wasn't quite as amused as Okita. She was interesting and spirited, no doubt, and the demi-god recognized the woman from several conversations not only with the swordsman present, but also with Himura and his friends. He glanced over to Okita, giving him a wry grin. "Someone you're acquainted with?"
But the distraction aside, they at least now knew of one of this Sylar's abilities. It was unfortunate that Homura didn't have Allelujah's--or perhaps Hallelujah's--ability to resist such things. Regardless, however, the man's confidence was untouched, and he nodded in response to Okita's knowing claim. "He's right. I have no problem informing you, because this Sylar is a threat to our goals, and your personal affair. But we're hardly defenseless. But I wonder. Can you say the same?" Now Homura turned an intent gaze on Peter; it wasn't just Sylar he had wanted to learn about from this meeting. "Any powers you had in your world are extremely limited, and likely cause you pain or fatigue to use--if you have access to them at all. What will you do if you find yourself pitted against him?"
