Okay, so he had a bit of a description to go off, which was more than Bats had probably expected him to find so soon after the last time they'd spoken. "But how do you know it was him?" he asked. "I mean, I don't wanna be a huge sceptic or anything, but I've been here nearly a week and I haven't seen him anywhere. How do you know it wasn't someone pretending to be him just to mess with you? What if you killed the wrong person?

"Look, I agree that what he's doing here is wrong, and I've seen some of the effects myself. But that still doesn't give us the right to act like executioners! There's got to be another way to stop it all without having to kill people." There always had to be another way, he believed. It was just that sometimes the other way was harder than killing someone, so it was easier to justify it than to come up with an alternative. And he'd seen how justifying things like that could lead to just doing them more and more...

No. If it was at all possible, he was going to make sure no one made that mistake.

"You can't know for sure what will work and what won't. And besides, if we lock him up, then he can't hurt anyone else. That's why we have prisons after all." Something Sanzo had said caught up to him.

"What's the taboo?"
