To be more clear, Jiraiya was concerned that Sasuke might -- might what, exactly? Surely the man didn't think Sasuke would be so pathetic as to actually try attacking Naruto when he was especially weak? Sasuke might have betrayed the village and gone to Sound, might have let Landel blind him, but he hadn't completely lost his pride yet.

Evidently Jiraiya thought differently.
