Itachi stopped the ball again as it rolled towards him, but he kept his foot on it for the time period. Obviously the man already knew what buses were, and that they implied travel. He must be from a similar world after all. Of course, if the man didn't know about the trips to Doyleton, it would be a matter of great interest to him. It had been to Itachi as well, before he determined that there was no chance for escape. Even so, it had allowed him to procure his first real weapon, so the trip's value could not be discounted.
