Jamie peered over and made a preemptive, uncertain move to approach him, looking a little worried. "Hey, are you okay?" he asked, over the noise of the other boy's distress. Poor guy sounded like he was about to throw up, he was coughing so hard. Maybe he needed a drink or something? Jamie glanced around to see if there a nurse close by whose eye he could catch; predictably, they all seemed to be elsewhere at the moment.
